The Excelta 15 is a Three Star Transverse Cutting Tweezer that is 4.5 inches long in length and is made from high grade carbon steel. These tweezers have a narrow head design with a cutting capacity of .010 inches of soft wire. Carbon steel was the first material used for watch making tweezers and give the tweezers flame-hardened tips that provide a long life but this material is highly magnetic and has low rust resistance. This material should not be used for autoclave sterilization.
