The Desco 19788 is the Digital Surface Resistance Meter.  The meter comes with  2 AA alkaline batteries and 1 certificate of calibration.

It features new enclosures with rubber grip handles and a thinner and narrower design that is easier to hold and provides protection if dropped.

The new quick check button bypasses the 15 second electrification period for quick spot checks and the new battery compartment is easy to access without the need for tools or probes.

This kit is used to measure resistance point to point (RTT) or surface to ground (RTG) of worksurfaces, flooring systems, garments, packaging, and other materials in accordance with the ESD Association documents ESD TR53, ANSI/ESD S4 1, ANSI/ESD S7.1, ANSI/ESD STM97.1 and other documents.  It also determines if a surface is dissipative, conductive or insulative for ESD control applications in electronics manufacturing or handling environments.

The resistance range is < 1.0 x 10^3 ohms to > 1.0 x 10^12 ( /- 10% accuracy).

The under load test voltages (10V or 100V /- 5%) meets the ANSI/ESD S20.20 resistance testing requirements for product qualification and compliance verification.

In the "AUTO" mode, the unit can switch to an appropriate test voltage (10V for tests < 1 x 10^6 or 100V for test > 1 x 10^6) or may be fixed to 10V in "HOLD" mode.

Ohm values are expressed with a digital mantissa and LED exponent that provides an easy to read and accurate measurement.

The pre-set 15 second electrification period in full test mode meets the requirements of the ANSI/ESD S4.1 testing requirements.

Temperature (F or C) and relative humidity are measured during the 15 second electrification period as required by the ANSI/ESD S20.20.

Each unit come with a Certificate of Calibration per the accepted procedures and standards traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology  (NIST).

Made in the USA.
