The Desco 13962 is a Foil Statshield Moisture Barrier Bag with the IPC / JEDEC Moisture Sensitive Caution Labeling. Â As defined by the J-STD-020, the label, which is already printed on the bag, identifies moisture sensitive devices for levels 2, 2a, 3, 4, 5 and 5a. Â Additional labeling is not required.
The film laminate metal layered bag is 0.0040" thick (4 mil). Â It is designed for electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection when dry packing components and meets ANSI/ES S20.20, ANSI/ESD SS41and ANSI/ESD S11.4 Level 1 specs.
The bag's moisture vapor transfer rate (MVTR) is </= 0.0003 grams per 100 sq. in. per 24 hours and is designed for dry packing and shipping of moisture/reflow sensitive surface mount devices.
Discharge shielding is <10 nJ energy limit test per ANSI/ESD STM11.31.Â
The insulative nylon reinforcement layer strengthens the bag structure to maintain performance per ASTM F392 flex testing and meets the ANSI/ESD S541 requirement as a barrier to current flow.
The dissipative inner and outer surface RTT measures 1 x 10^4 to < 1 x 10^11 ohms per ANSI/ESD STM11.11. Â This allows the bag to be grounded when placed on a grounded surface or handled by a grounded operator.
Puncture strength average is >25 lbs. per the FTMS 101C/4046 and provides physical protection for contents.
The large 3/8" wide seals provide greater seal strength compared to other similar products with only 1/8" wide seals making the bags more durable.
Each bag is identified with an ESD Protective Symbol as required by ANSI/ESD S541.
Each bag is also provided with lot coding for quality control traceability.
The bags are lead-free RoHS compliant.
The bags are sold in packages of 100 in a protective oversized ESD bag.
