Kester 64-0000-4662 is a five gallon container of 4662 water soluble flux thinner. This flux is to be used with 2331-ZX organic water soluble flux, 2235 organic water soluble flux, or 2120 organic water soluble flux.
Water-soluble fluxes provide better fluxing abilities and wider processing windows than traditional rosin fluxes. Water cleaning is a popular alternative to CFC-solvent cleaning (now eliminated). Water-soluble flux residue are designed to be removed with either in-line or batch hot-water cleaning processes. Please note: a circuit board's design must be compatible with the use of organic fluxes and water cleaning since all of the residue must be removed and the components must be able to tolerate water.
