The disposable wrist strap provides an effective, economical alternative when short-term ESD protection is required. The disposable wrist strap can be shipped with ESD-sensitive components whose manufacturer recommends that the installer of the component be grounded during installation so static discharge damage does not occur. Product is individually packaged for inclusion with customer's product if desired.
Advanced Details:
A. 10" hypoallergenic adhesive holds conductive strip in contact with wearer. The adhesive is waterbase acrylic.
B. White insulative spunbonded polyester non-woven fabric outer material
C. Black resistive non-woven fabric provides a path to ground. Total resistance to ground is approx. 5 Megohms to limit current in the event of accidental operator contact with equipment line voltage.
D. Release paper is removed to expose adhesive on both ends
E. 4" grounding end of disposable wrist strap uses adhesive to secure conductive strip to bare grounding surface. The adhesive is a waterbase acrylic.
F. Underwriters Laboratory listing 90P1 -- rated for 250 volts AC
