The Desco 13620 is a Statshield Metal-In Bag with a low charging antistatic high visibility reclosable zipper. The metal-in film laminate is 0.0030" thick (3 mil) and protects ESD sensitive contents from electrostatic fields and electrostatic discharges.
This is the most commonly used shielding bag. The high volume manufacturing provides value for the customer. There are 100 bags packaged in a protective oversized ESD bag.
The bags meet ANSI/ESD S20.20 and ANSI/ESD S541 Requirements for ESD shielding packaging inside and outside an ESD Protected Area (EPA). Discharge shielding is <20 nJ energy limit test per ANSI/ESD STM11.31. They also meet or exceed one or more of the following standards: EIA 541, EIA 625, MIL-STD-1686 and EIA 583.
The dissipative inner and outer surface RTT measures 1 x 10^4 to < 1 x 10^11 ohms per ANSI/ESD STM11.11. This allows the bag to be used throughout an ESD protected area and grounded when placed on a grounded surface or handled by a grounded operator.
It allows for 40% light transmission for easy identification of bag contents. The integral static dissipative properties are not topically nor dependent on humidity and won't wear off.
Puncture strength average is >10 lbs. per the FTMS 101C/4046 and provided physical protection for contents.
These bags are manufactured on specially designed soft fold converting machines to prevent scratches and creases thereby maintaining the integrity of the Faraday Cage shielding protection.
The large 3/8" wide seals provide greater seal strength compared to other similar products with only 1/8" wide seals making the bags more durable.
The bag is polycarbonate compatible and contains no amines or N-octanic acid and will not corrode or contaminate parts.
Each bag is identified with an ESD Protective Symbol as required by ANSI/ESD S541.
Each bag is also provided with lot coding for quality control traceability.
The bags are lead-free RoHS compliant.
